The Salvation Army

FP completed an addition/renovation for the Harbor Light Center, The Salvation Army’s addiction treatment facility. Harbor Light Center provides a safe space for men recovering from addiction or preventing a relapse. It offers lodging, meals and services like case management, family reunification, job and life skills training and recreational activities.

The addition/renovation completed by FP utilized a three-story wood frame with a pedestal post-tension slab to provide an extra 120 beds for men. The new expansion also added a common kitchen and dining hall, classrooms and common rooms. Offices and amenities like a barber shop, weight room, library and outdoor garden were also included.

A new circulation “light tower” is the unifying element between old and new, and signifies the Salvation Army’s core mission.
