The Nederland Library serves their community’s needs with a conference room, children’s art and activity area and an exterior deck. The building is located adjacent to an existing waterway which inspired the installation of a 50-foot pedestrian bridge at the library’s main entrance. This library’s design incorporates a stone façade using stones from a local abandoned mine.
Fransen Pittman "made a concerted effort to know and understand the Nederland Community. [They] participated in community planning sessions; met the "locals", [and were] committed to hiring local sub-contractors... [There was] personal involvement in the project from everyone at Fransen Pittman — the onsite manager who brought library staff fresh milk from his farm, to visits from John Pittman, the president and owner of the company... After moving into our wonderful new building, I can wholeheartedly recommend Fransen Pittman General Contractors."
