Though it’s the smallest of the three new Douglas County Libraries, it houses the branch library, the city’s administration offices, and a community meeting area that can be open to the public after the library is closed. This two-story library features a second-floor open air patio with a three-sided fireplace and green roof. The exterior façade of the Castle Pines branch matches the aesthetic and design of the other Douglas County Libraries.
The landscaping of Castle Pines provides an example to the community of a usable xeriscape design. Castle Pines Library also features a charging station for electric vehicles.
