The goal of the Phase I restoration project for the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception was to restore the original historic character to the cathedral’s interior by modifying renovations done in the 1970s. The project included relocating the baptistery from the narthex into the nave and adding a glass wall between the two spaces to create a more open atmosphere.
