In partnership with Children’s Hospital Colorado and the CU School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry, Cherry Creek School District is constructing a clinical-level day treatment center to support students in grades 4-12. CCSD’s Day Treatment Center, Traverse Academy, will allow more students to receive mental and behavioral health care while continuing their education. The facility will offer three levels of support (based on individual student need) and is believed to be the first district-run facility in the nation. The project requires the demolition of an existing building and the new construction of a new 30,000 SF facility.
