Colorado Academy’s Athletic Center and Tennis Courts were a phased project of combined 82,000 square feet. Phase I of the project featured a 16,000-square-foot field house, middle and upper school locker rooms, new coaches’ offices, and a conference room and study carrels for use by students.
Phase II of the 66,000-square-foot athletic center included the Main Gym, West Gym, a 40-foot climbing center, strength and conditioning facility, sports medicine learning space, and more. Other special touches and features of the space include:
-18 lanes and more than 4,000 holds in the climbing center
-Preserved flooring of the previous main gym illuminated on walls
-Trophy cases and historical athletic photos lining the hallways
-New concession stand wrapped in wood from the old bleachers
