The City of Mantiou Springs’ Historic Carnegie Library was constructed in 1911 and had not received a major renovation since. Pikes Peak Library District relocated the existing library to the Manitou Arts Center (MAC) as a temporary location while Fransen Pittman renovated the original facility and constructed a new 2,950 SF addition to expand services and reach ADA compliance.
Community input was essential in planning this renovation and expansion. The library now provides the public with broader access to on-site meeting and study rooms, computer labs, makerspace and more, all in the heart of Manitou Springs. The library celebrated is grand reopening in February of 2025.
