FP built Redtail Ponds as the first permanent supportive housing facility in Fort Collins. The facility provides housing for a mix of incomes and is meant to combine affordable housing with necessary services to help individuals achieve stability and independence. The community is designed to meet the special housing needs of formerly homeless individuals with disabilities and formerly homeless veterans.
Redtail Ponds was constructed on an undeveloped 3-acre site and was funded through CHFA and required Section 3 employment opportunities and Enterprise Green Community certification. The facility holds 60 units: 50 one-bedroom/one bath and kitchen units and 10 ADA units for up to 263 residents. Redtail Ponds also holds public and community space on the ground floor for residents to share and interact. The site is a Transit Oriented Development (TOD) and incorporates multiple sustainable design elements.
