The Ronald McDonald House of Denver provides necessary services for families to find comfort and reprieve during trying times in their lives. The project called for a 3-story addition to add 44 units to the existing facility. To keep costs down, FP used a structural steel wall panel framing system prefabricated off site and shipped to the location for installation. FP built bridges on the 2nd and 3rd floor to unify the new 3-story addition with the existing house. FP then built an enclosed courtyard with new playground equipment on the ground floor. A large new dining room was also constructed to provide a space for sharing and comfort.
Partnering with the Ronald McDonald house was humbling and reflective of Fransen Pittman’s driving purpose- to construct buildings with a lasting, meaningful impact.
