Historically a farming community, the town of Strasburg had experienced a steady increase in student enrollment and was in need of facility upgrades to accommodate a larger student population. After the award of a BEST Grant and a successful bond election, Strasburg Elementary brought FP on board to complete a 10,000 SF addition comprised of eight (8) new classrooms and a new gymnasium. In the existing school, project scope included interior renovations to preschool and kindergarten classrooms, updated special education spaces, a new STEM lab, multiple break out spaces, a kitchen renovation, and updated music and art rooms. Playground improvements and updates to the school pick-up/drop-off lanes were also completed. Designed for sustainability, the school is pursuing CHPS certification.
