Named after veteran school physician Dr. W. Lloyd Wright, the Colorado School of Mines Student Wellness Center was built to honor his service and dedication to health on the campus. FP built this new two-story facility with a wood frame structure and slab-on-grade foundation. The Wellness Center holds areas for medical and dental services for Mines students.
This structure achieved LEED Silver certification because of its dense site, close community connection, use of natural daylight and construction waste management. Fransen Pittman built this sustainable student center safely while ongoing campus activities continued without interruption.
