Fransen Pittman Celebrates CITC Graduates
July 12, 2021Established in 1998, CITC is a 4-year work experience program focused on skilled trade training. Our Fransen Pittman graduates participated in carpenter apprenticeships, which involved daily on-the-job training with FP mentors. CITC apprenticeships allow students the ability to “earn while they learn” and are supplemented with weekly night classes to help master important trade skills.
Fransen Pittman has been a dedicated CITC sponsor since the program began. Students' training, books and materials are all funded by FP and an increase in wages happens with each skill level advancement. One of our superintendents, Steve Gilmor, is a proud CITC graduate and former instructor. He credits the program with his success and is grateful that it continues to be a staple in FP culture.
Congrats to the classes of 2020 & 2021. A special shout-out to Ian McGilp for earning CITC's Carpenter Apprentice of the Year! We can’t wait to see you out on the job site putting your learning to work!
