The CSU art museum offers a space for students and community members to engage with art to spark higher thinking and contemplative thought. Because the art museum relies on financial contributions to run, the budget boundaries were specific and steadfast. FP not only stayed within budget, but completed this addition project on a fast track – all while the museum remained fully operational. Fransen Pittman constructed five new art galleries, administrative offices and a storage/receiving area.
To maintain exact temperature and humidity control for the art pieces, a specialized mechanical system was needed. Sustainable elements were incorporated into these additions and the project is 2 Green Globe certified.
